Staging Overview

UltraStage Performance Staging UltraStage uses fewer components than standard portable staging systems and requires no tools for set-up. It provides a solid and structurally reliable performance platform that is easy to transport, set-up and teardown. Built with care and attention, and engineered to provide years of trouble free service, UltraStage represents extremely good value for the investment dollar.

UltraStage's beauty and simplicity are due to its System Design that incorporates X-style Folding Frames and Locator Plates (LP's). X-frames unfold quickly to meet deck corner locations. Once the first frame is leveled using the Integrated Leveling Feet, the appropriate Locator Plates are placed on top of the X-frame legs:

LP-1 (single node) for outside corners
LP-2 (double node) for stage sides
LP-4 (quad node) for inside corners

With the first X-frame set up, the second X-frame is ready to follow with its appropriate Locator Plates. With two X-frames and Locator Plates in place, Decks can begin being lowered on to Locator Plate Nodes. Once decks are level with each other, Deck Clamps are attached to the deck's underside channels to ensure a tight fit and feel to the entire stage surface.

From a three-deck/two-frame start, a stage can quickly grow to any size following the X-frame/space/X-frame format. When properly set up, the resulting stage becomes a solid performance platform, with a well-braced, adjustable substructure that offers spacious access corridors beneath the stage; useful for storage, special effects and cabling, etc.

Although legs can be used in any UltraStage set-up, X-fames offer key advantages, particularly when assembling larger stages:

Less frames are needed
X-frames are quicker to set up, saving time and reducing labor costs
X-frames integrated leveling feet make leveling easy
X-frames offer telescopic height adjustment for multi-level stages
X-frames are stronger and more solid, especially at higher heights

Set-up phase of a nine deck/four frames system (12' x 24' Stage).	This picture shows two deck corners resting on the common surface of ONE LP-4 locator plate, supported by ONE X-Frame leg. Note the deck surfaces match perfectly because the decks rest on a common surface.

Partially set-up stage (3x3) configuration with CUSTOM sized (40" x 96") decks to accommodate storage limitations. Storage area is the "hole in the wall" to the left.	This picture shows how limited storage space was utilized with custom sized decks and flatbed dollies that were linked together to allow storage in the small (but 16ft deep) storage area.
